Our annual membership meeting will be held on Wednesday January 11, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the public meeting room of Fire Station #82 right across the street from the Deerfield sports field. The meeting agenda will be:
The current board members have all been involved in the activities supporting your homeowners’ association for over five years now. The association relies on members to get involved and volunteer some of their time to help manage the activities of the association in order to help maintain our neighborhood as a desirable place to live. At this time we have a great need for some new members to come forward and join the board and take on some of the activities needed to manage the association. We specifically need members to come forward and assume the positions of President and Treasurer for the HOA. Members can also help out by volunteering to be a ‘Member-at-Large’ board member to assist on specific projects. Please make the time to attend the annual meeting and volunteer for the board. If for some reason you cannot attend the meeting but would like to join the board please contact the board before the meeting at board@deerfieldsammamish.com and let us know. The Board also meets monthly at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month (depending on availability of its members). It usually meets at the public meeting room at the fire station across from our sports field. All members are welcomed and encouraged to attend these board meetings. Winter Reminders With the rains coming we’d like to ask our homeowners to help keep flooding of the streets in the neighborhood to a minimum by making sure the storm drains near their homes are cleared of any debris. This will help prevent any water backups on the streets that could freeze and pose a hazard in those times when the weather turns very cold. Let’s Help Keep Crime Out of Our Neighborhood As the holiday season approaches, many of you will have packages shipped and delivered to your homes. Thieves know this and won't hesitate to walk up and take those packages from your porch. Take some steps to protect your items. Ship them to a secure location such as work or a post office box. Request a tracking number so you know when your package will be delivered and can be home, or request a signature for delivery. If you’re not going to be home ask a neighbor to pick up any packages which you know will be delivered. Don't make it easy for thieves to have a great holiday at your expense. Also, in the last few months, we’ve had reports of car break-ins in our neighborhood. We want to make sure that all of our
homeowners are reminded to just do the following: 3. Make sure every neighbor reports their incidents. If it’s not in progress, call 206-296-3311 or file an electronic report at http://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/sheriff/on-line-reporting/on-line-reporting.aspx You can follow the Sammamish Police Department at https://twitter.com/SammamishPD . Remember, this is your community please help in making it a great place to live by getting involved with your Association. December 2016 |
